For most of 2010, Kevin will be catching up on five (yeah...five!) CDs currently under production but were delayed due to circumstances beyond his control. Though he will play his usual annual special events, most of his time will be spent aggresively finishing all five CDs so he can concentrate on his first love - playing for you. Make an authentic ancestral hoop drum with Kevin Village Stone (Kiwamura). You will learn the spiritual principles and traditions of the ancestral drum as well as embark on a deep journey of personal healing while you make your drum.
All materials will be provided which include a handmade willow hoop, rawhide (buffalo, elk, deer, depending on availability), and printed handout with traditional drumming songs, care, and meditation/journeying exercises. For many, the making of an ancestral drum becomes a pivotal point in the spiritual walk.
Pre-register (required) at Earth Touch Wellness Center by (TBD). Workshop is on (TBD) which promptly begins at 11am and ends around 6pm with a snack break in the middle. The drums will be smudged and blessed at the end of the workshop and, time permitting, Kevin will teach some drumming songs.
